19 July 2010 Landscape,The 365 Project

I was looking for a future home since my office has been relocated in the middle of the desert which is really far from where I stay.  I visited this hotel apartment which is really awesome and I would really love to live in a full furnished apartment which is 15 minutes away from the office.  This picture was taken at the balcony overlooking the Emirates road.

The Burj Al Arab (“Tower of the Arabs”, also known as “Arab Sail”).  The construction of Burj Al Arab began in 1994. It was built to resemble the sail of a dhow, a type of Arabian vessel.  The Burj Al Arab stands on an artificial island 280 m (920 ft) out from Jumeirah  beach, and is connected to the mainland by a private curving bridge.

  • Added a very light vignette

This was taken from Madinat Jumeirah Souk, it is the largest resort in Dubai, designed like old Arabia spread across over 40 hectares of landscapes and gardens.  Madinat Jumeirah is the new city of Arabia in Dubai; the resort is Arabian-styled featuring UAE architecture and design.  There’s a few bars here and some night clubs which are fully packed every weekend.

This building needs no introduction, The Burj Khalifa, formerly known as Burj Dubai.   I know, I already have a shot like this, but this one has a different backdrop :)   This one had a sunset view :D

Anyway, to those who doesn’t know, Burj Khalifa is currently the tallest building on Earth, if you want to know the specifics, then google is your friend.

This is one of the newest mall around… Mirdif City Center.  Taken a few hours ago.  I kind of like this mall, because there’s a lot of photography related stores and its less than 10 minutes drive from my place :)

Haven’t done an HDR image in a while, and I thought this particular image will work better in HDR.

Post process:

  • Aligned and merged to HDR using Photoshop CS4
  • Tonemapped in Photomatix
  • Adjusted further in Photoshop
  • Adjusted Hue & Saturation selectively

Take care everyone :)
