Taken from Dubai Internet City. There’s a lot more to this place, I just need to find more time and go to some other areas. Anyway, this will do for now

This is how the Madinat Jumeirah Souk looks like at night. Lots of people hanging out, walking around and just relaxing. Didn’t have any tripod so I have to hand hold the camera with a high ISO, but the big aperture of the Tokina (f2.8) really helps and even at f2.8, this lens is sharp

The Burj Al Arab (“Tower of the Arabs”, also known as “Arab Sail”). The construction of Burj Al Arab began in 1994. It was built to resemble the sail of a dhow, a type of Arabian vessel. The Burj Al Arab stands on an artificial island 280 m (920 ft) out from Jumeirah beach, and is connected to the mainland by a private curving bridge.

This was taken from Madinat Jumeirah Souk, it is the largest resort in Dubai, designed like old Arabia spread across over 40 hectares of landscapes and gardens. Madinat Jumeirah is the new city of Arabia in Dubai; the resort is Arabian-styled featuring UAE architecture and design. There’s a few bars here and some night clubs which are fully packed every weekend.

The Burj Al Arab, consistently voted the world’s most luxurious hotel. One of the three 7-star hotels in the world. It is the second tallest building in the world that is used exclusively as a hotel. Before the Burj Khalifa, this hotel is the most iconic structure in Dubai.

Taken from Madinat Jumeirah Souq. I have a shot of this same location around 1 year back; this was taken around sunset where the sky is really nice.
This is also the first time I am using Photoshop CS5 and so far so good

This flower is very common back in the Philippines, it is called Gumamela, or Hibiscus in English. Not only it’s very pretty but it is medicinal as well. Gumamela flowers are used as an expectorant in bronchitis, for general coughs, and as a refrigerant drink in fevers just to name a few of its uses.
